My dog is a 50lb Golden Retriever with 2.5″ wide paws. Which size is more suitable for him?

We recommend size 6#. Weight is only a reference. If you have already determined your paw width, it is more suitable to choose the size according to it!

It gets really hot here in summer – will these make his paws sweat or cause rashes?

I worried about that too. The upper is breathable mesh (like a sneaker), not solid rubber, so air flows through. My dog wore them on 90°F days and his paws were dry afterward. Just make sure to air-dry them after muddy walks to keep the lining fresh.

My dog hates having his feet touched. How quick is the on/off process?

Super fast – I can slip it on in about 10 seconds per paw because the opening is wide and the straps are smooth to pull. No struggling with tiny buckles or tight elastic. Off is even quicker. My squirmy pup tolerates it now.

I walk my dog on asphalt and rocky trails – will these protect against hot pavement and sharp stones?

Yes, that’s exactly why I chose these. The rubber sole is thick but flexible, and the toe cap is reinforced to shield from hot roads and sharp rocks. My dog stopped limping on gravel trails after switching to these. Also non-slip on wet floors.

My dog runs like crazy at the park and always twists out of his shoes. Do these really stay on for active dogs?

I had the same issue until I tried these. The double Velcro straps (not just one) let me tighten the ankle, so they don’t slide. Even after an hour of fetch, they stayed put. The reflective straps are a bonus for dusk walks.
